CHURCH REPAIRS

Our Church repair works are going on. We appeal for your generous contribution. Our Parish Representatives are sitting outside the Stone Hall and also at the Cross Maidan to accept your donation for repairs of the Church by cash or cheque before and after the Mass as also for your advertisements towards the souvenir.

Donation Box towards Church repairs is also placed near the Altar of the Church premises as well as Cross Maidan.

Your generous contribution towards repairs of the Church will be

of great help and support. Your kind contribution can be made by cash or cheque in name of "Church of Our Lady of Dolours" along with copy of your PAN card at the Parish Office.

Donation Box towards Church Repairs marked as “Your Donation for Church Repairs” has been placed near the Altar as well as in the Parish Office. You may visit the Parish Office with your donation to drop in your cash / cheques in this box.

FUNDRAISER ACTIVITIES

SOUVENIR

Parishioners are requested to to encourage friends, family and workplace to contribute through their advertisements in the souvenir to raise funds for the repairs of our Church which will be released soon.

For details, contact volunteers, parish office, or community coordinators.

FOOD STALL

Our Parish team will be putting up snack & food-stall after Sunday morning masses. Kindly patronize as the proceeds will go towards repairs of the Church. If any parishioner wishes to sponsor food items for the Sunday food stall, kindly contact any of the animators for details.

RAFFLE

Parishioners are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets to support church repairs. Animators will be coming around with raffle tickets.

Exciting prizes await !! Draw Date will be 12th June 2026 - Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Beginning 03rd November 2025

we will not be having our services here in this Church due to commencement of repairs. We will be having our Church services at the St. Xavier’s High School in the stone-hall, ground floor till completion of Church repairs. Our daily Mass schedule will be as follows :

MASSES AT ST. XAVIERS SCHOOL

Sundays :In Konkani - 8:00 a.m. and

In English - 9:00 a.m.

followed by Catechism class in the same premises. Kindly note -

There will be NO EVENING MASS ON SUNDAYS.

Weekdays :In English - 7:00 a.m. and

7:00 p.m.

except on Fridays there will be no evening Mass at St. Xavier’s School.

Every Friday at 6:30 p.m. as usual.

We begin our normal Masses :

On Sundays at 8:00 a.m. in Konkani and at 9:00 a.m. in English.

On weekdays at 7:00 a.m. and at 7:00 p.m. in English.

No Evening Mass on Fridays and Sundays in this premises.

On Fridays - we will be having Mass as usual at 6:30 p.m. at the Cross Maidan.

ROSARY TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

All parishioners are invited to attend the Sacred Heart Novena Rosary at 6:40 p.m. in preparation for the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart.

Kindly note on Friday 05th June the Novena Rosary will be after the 7:00 a.m. Mass and on Sunday 07th June Novena Rosary will be after the 9:00 a.m. Mass.

Triduum and Novena Masses in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be in Konkani at 6:40 p.m.

SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CONFIRMATION CLASSES

Sunday School and Confirmation classes will resume.

We request parishioners to send their school going children for Children Mass and Sunday School regularly.

Parents whose children are not yet attending Catechism classes are encouraged to enrol them for Catechism class.

15th June 2026

MASSES FOR JULY 2026

will be accepted from 9:30 a.m. Only one intention on a particular day per family will be accepted. Multiple intentions for Wednesday and Saturday morning will be accepted from 18th June. Requesting parishioners to please bring exact change amount.

to our School Principal Sr. Anita Sonawane and all Teaching and NonTeaching Staff of Our Lady of Dolours High School, Sonapur and also the Parents – for getting 100% results at the 2025-26 SSC Board Examination.

13 Students got distinctions, 13 Students got First Class, 13 Students got Second Class and 02 Students got Pass Class.

SONAPUR PRAYER GROUP

will resume their weekly Prayer meetings from the month of June every Mondays at the St. Xavier’s School, Stone-hall, soon after the evening Mass. All are welcome.

The overall donations received towards repairs of the Church as on 22nd May 2026 amounted to Rs.1,10,34,698.75 (Rupees One Crore Ten Lakh Thirty-Four Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Eight & Paise 75 only). Total expenses incurred towards repairs as on 22nd May 2026 is Rs. 1,05,28,684/- (Rupees One Crore Five Lakh Twenty-Eight Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Four only). PASTORAL LETTER FROM ARCHBISHOP

Archbishop John Rodrigues has issued a Pastoral Letter in response to the recent queries concerning reports circulating on social media and in the print media about “The Ecumenical Catholic Church of Christ” and its relationship with the Catholic Church headed by the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.
