Fr. Anthony  D'souza was earlier at Sonapur from June 1980 to May 1988 as Principal of our Parish School.

He has zealously served as Principal for 29 years in the various schools of the Archdiocese.

He has been an active Pastor in the various Parishes of the Archdiocese of Mumbai: St Stephens Cumballa, Our Lady of Dolours Sonapur, Sacred Heart Santacruz, Sacred Heart Worli, St Anthony Vakola, St Joseph Umerkhadi, St Andrews Bandra, St Teresa Girgaum, St Joseph Vikhroli, St Anthony Vakola, Our Lady of Egypt Kalina and now at Our Lady of Dolours Sonapur.

He is an alumni of St. Xavier's High School (Fort) and St. Xavier's College.  Having grown up in the area, he understands the parishioners attitude, approach and mindset which helps him optimize tasks. 

His interaction with the youth has encouraged them to be active in the Church. Fr. Lester's homilies are based on The word of God and are very inspiring, motivating and thought-provoking. 

He is a jolly soul, loves music and enjoys a well cooked meal.

He was born into a devoted family in Chhattisgarh. He was a regular churchgoer, always pondering on the Word of God and experiencing God’s Love and Mercy.  Deep down within he felt God’s calling him to finish His unfinished agenda.  His heart was burning with zeal and compassion, he left everything behind and followed Him. He joined the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar, Gujarat in 2005.  His hobbies are playing football, hockey, volleyball, table tennis, reading books etc. presently he is pursuing his Masters degree in Social Work from Nirmala Niketan College Mumbai, Churchgate.
